Starbucks Renovations & Remodeling Updates May/June 2015

Have you noticed many Starbucks stores are getting prettier this time of year? Our team at JD Contractors, Inc. was involved as general contractor in refreshes at multiple Starbucks locations around Greater Boston area. From mid-May through the end of June, our project managers, crews, and subcontractors worked hard to bring a new look to 6 stores and also performed a complete remodel of another 2 locations (more about these in later posts).

The updates included Starbucks stores in Marblehead, Methuen, as well as several in the Greater Boston Area – Tremont Street, School Street, Washington Square, and 62 Boylston Street.

All of these stores received new coats of paint and artwork, cafe furniture and light fixtures were upgraded, floor tiles were repaired. We also brought new casework parts and worked through all small repairs that piled up over the time.

Our crews and subcontractors completed all desired work after regular store hours, ensuring the operation of each Starbucks would not be disrupted more than necessary. For us, that meant working really hard after store partners left each night and having the store clean and ready for opening in the morning.

In total, it took us 3 to 5 nights to give the store a new look and move on to the next one. Together, with arranging all deliveries beforehand, and completing the paperwork afterwards, we can honestly say that this summer has been busier than ever.
